A slice of Market Street madness remembered by a Denver bar hopper in "White Pants". Market Street used to be Denver's Red Light District back in the late 1800's. We'll be covering a new musical (yes, musical) opening on the street later this week, complete with Can-Can girls, barkeeps, faux gambling and coachmen valets. The Western theme seems to be more and more popular these days - even HBO is on board with their new series Deadwood (which by the way is pretty good and doesn't appear to follow your typical Hollywood western recipe). |
