Utrecht Stories is down at the moment. In august, I moved the site to different host. Host number 1 was not very good. The server had a lot of downtime and was kind of sluggish. Server number 2 was very promising. Servers were located in The Netherlands and quite cheap to rent. Boy, was I wrong! The host i chose only uses Windows NT-servers and they're not very co-operative when it comes to chmodding the files. Meanwhile, I got busier and busier with other things. A couple of weeks ago, I decided to look for a new server. I think it'll be operational in about two weeks. Until then, things will be dark at Utrecht Stories. But... there's light at the end of the tunnel. One of our authors runs a web design company in Utrecht. The people of eend (dutch for duck) are redesigning Utrecht Stories right now. Their (non-clickable) progress can be seen at http://www.eend.nl/utst/. The writers are busy too. New stories are coming, although we don't know exactly when. With the new design, we'll also create a decent section of Utrecht Stories in English and i'm also studying RSS-feeds. You see, there's a lot going on in Utrecht, just be patient for a bit longer. |
